Idaho Lottery Director Roger Simmons, a representative from the attorney general's office, and an Idaho State Police investigator looked at the machines and determined they violated Idaho law. The attorney general's office Friday received a complaint about the machines being sold at the Costco store in Boise, Cooper said. The $289 machines, which accept tokens and look like slot machines found in casinos, are illegal to own or sell under state gambling laws, said Bob Cooper, spokesman for Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden. TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) - Costco Wholesale has been ordered by the state to remove Japanese slot machines from the chain's three Idaho stores because they violate state gambling laws.
